Facts:
1. My favorite animal is the bat (go figure), and I can appreciate the elegance and beauty of most animals. However, I despise sea lions, especially walruses. Theyre just so damn big and ugly and violent and stupid. I hate them!
2. I like chocolate; mainly dark chocolate. However, I greatly prefer to eat it when it has been frozen rock solid. I don't like the sensation of having it 'melt' in your mouth. I like it cool and crunchy. Its especially good when broken up and mixed with ice cream.
3. When I was very young, like seven years old, I went through this bizarre phase where I would intentionally punch myself in the nose to trigger a sneeze. This was because I, for some reason, enjoyed the sensation of sneezing. : /
4. Another thing I did when I was very young (and this is something I am NOT proud of) was torture my pet cat. One vivid memory that comes to mind is this one incident where I stuffed the poor thing in a duffle bag and rolled it down the stairs. I think I did it once or twice before my mom saw what I was doing and stopped me. These days, I do what I can to make up for this by taking very good care of my new pet cat. Please dont hate me.
5. My favorite color used to be green, but these days Im finding myself much more partial to blue (dark blue). Blue is so much more conventional though, but I cant help it.
6. As you might have gathered from number five, I dont like being too conventional with my opinions. In fact, I often try to challenge the "popular" opinion of an argument (such as global warming), just to keep myself objective and open to all sides of an issue.
7. Also, I've always had a problem calling my parents mom and dad; you know, because thats so conventional. So instead, what I do is I address them as mother and father. Some people have commented that that makes me sound sort of snobbish, or dispassionate, but I disagree.
8. Alas, my final fact is that I am not exactly a social butterfly. I find it a little difficult, in particular, to relate to the whole university community, since I dont much care for crowds or rowdy parties and I dont like alcohol. Actually, most forms of hard liquor I can tolerate, but I REALLY hate beer in all its forms.
I hope you found that relatively entertaining. Now comes the part where I bestow this dubious pleasure upon eight other unsuspecting souls.
