Artist's Comments

Okay, first off; this is mainly me experimenting with my new Wacom tablet that I got for Christmas. Did I forget to mention that in my journal? So, if the lines look a bit jittery, that's because I'm still feeling it out.

The picture itself is of an original character of mine. Her name is Yuradell and this is her human form. I'll say more about her later.

Actually, I did a sketch of her animal form here. [link]

And the good :iconsachsen: kindly did a commission for me of her animal form here. [link]

I've actually never seriously drawn her before, so I'm trying to establish a solid design for her. Therefore, I would encourage anyone viewing this to offer any serious critiques or suggestions. I want to make her and my other O.C.'s the best they can be. :)

Thanks for viewing.

Oh, you got a tablet! Yay! They're fantastic once you get used to them.

She's intriguing! I like the scarab design on the cloak clasp, and I'd love to know more about the lizardy pawprint symbol stone in the upper left. Is that related to her non-human form?

Her eyes are very expressive I like her overall design. : )

Thanks very much. Yes, the tablet takes some getting used to. You can see how the lines are less controlled around her hair. That's where I started.

As for the lizardy stone; actually it's a salamander. Her alternate form is that of a salamander and the stone is actually a dial that allows her to switch from one form to another. There are three ticks, as you can see. One is for human, one is for salamander and the third is one I was thinking about but haven't decided on.

Anyway, I'm glad you like the design so far. I'll keep working on it though. :)

Merry Christmas on getting the Wacom. I can't function without one. And she looks cool!

I remember this character...you did a sketch of her in a different form, right? I like her fringe. She looks very feudal.

Thanks very much. ^^

Yes, you saw the rough sketch I put in my scraps. I'm eager to develop her further.

Very pretty, she reminds me of Saria from Zelda Ocarina of time Because of all the green she has, very pretty. I like the red buggy clip she has, it's a nice contrast to the picture itself.

Thanks very much. ^^

In retrospect, I think I used a bit too much green in this picture. ^^;
