Okay, it’s FINALLY finished. This was done by the request of StarRanger , who asked me to draw the Zelda: Ocarina of Time characters in an American Highschool setting. Sorry it took so long. Things came up and the project was put on the back burner for a while there. Someone also requested a bit later that I include Ruto somehow, but I’m afraid it was too late after all. My layout was already established. It just would have been too cluttered. I sized it so that it should fit pretty well as a desktop background, ‘case anyone was interested in that. At least, it fits my screen pretty well.

Anyway, explanation time:

Link’s persona is that of the ‘it’ guy, athletic and popular, who happens to be the object of all the females’ affections….. naturally.

Saria is sort of a ‘girl next door’ type of personality. She doesn’t follow the whole girly girl thing and she’s been Link’s lifelong best friend. But never more than that… until now.

Zelda is the rich, beautiful, popular girl who’s just transferred to this school. She already has her eye on Link and Link seems to share the affection. This does not go unnoticed by Saria, who is brooding in silent jealousy for the moment.

Malon is pretty much the same as Zelda, though she hasn’t recently transferred. She has befriended Zelda and is showing her around her new school. Malon is the sort who is always up to speed on the latest gossip, which is why she takes note of Link and Zelda’s connection here.

Off to the side, there’s the poor Skull kid, who is your typical nerdy whelp at the bottom of the social food chain. He has just tripped (guess who tripped him) and his pet fairy (insect specimen) has escaped as a result, ruining his entomology presentation.

Ganondorf and his Stalfos lackey are your typical badass bullies/troublemakers. Not much more to say.

In the background is the old chemistry teacher (the scientist at Lake Hylia). He’s quite eccentric and many of the students don’t take him too seriously, as he seems to be oblivious half the time. He should have retired, like, fifty years ago. Despite his outward demeanor, he often proves to know exactly what he’s talking about when it really matters. Some of the more perceptive students have learned to trust him.

Farther back, there’s Principal Rauru (Sage of Light). He’s the gruff, but lovable principal. He’s a hardass, but he means well. You may notice he looks ready to deal out a couple of well-deserved detentions at the moment.
